Cantal is a traditional French cheese originating from the Auvergne region. Made from raw cow’s milk, it is a firm, dense cheese with a natural, rough rind. With two variations – Cantal Jeune (young) and Cantal Entre-Deux (matured) – this cheese offers a range of flavors. Cantal Jeune has a mild, buttery taste, while Cantal Entre-Deux is more complex with nutty and earthy notes. This versatile cheese can be enjoyed on its own, melted in dishes, or grated over salads, showcasing the rustic charm and unique flavors of French countryside cheeses.
