Origin: Sourced from La Vera, Spain—where traditional methods have been used for centuries to smoke-dry ripe red peppers over oak wood fires, giving this pimentón its signature deep, smoky flavor. Protected under D.O.P. (Denomination of Origin) certification to guarantee authenticity and regional craftsmanship.
Main Ingredients: 100% smoked, dried, and ground red peppers (Capsicum annuum), grown and harvested in the La Vera region of Extremadura, Spain.
Craftsmanship: Made using age-old Spanish techniques: ripe red peppers are hand-picked, oak-smoked over wood fires for up to two weeks, then stone-ground into a fine, aromatic powder. This slow, artisanal process delivers an intense, earthy smokiness that sets it apart from ordinary paprika.
