Origin: Malabar Coast, Kerala, India. One of the oldest and most iconic pepper-producing regions in the world. Known historically as the birthplace of the global spice trade.

Main Ingredients: 100% Whole Black Peppercorns (Piper nigrum)

Craftsmanship: Harvested by hand from mature vines native to the Malabar region. The pepper berries are picked while still green and then sun-dried until they turn dark brown to black. Traditional drying methods retain high levels of essential oils, giving Malabar pepper its signature intensity. Often used as the base for premium pepper blends due to its balance and depth.

Texture & Appearance: Medium to large peppercorns, Deep brown to black in color, Wrinkled surface with a dry, firm texture, Aromatic and slightly oily from natural essential oils.

Flavor Profile: Bold, warm, and earthy, Notes of pine, resin, and subtle citrus, Lingering heat with a well-rounded spiciness, Less sharp than Tellicherry, but more intense than many standard black peppers.

Best Enjoyed: A versatile, all-purpose pepper for daily use, Excellent on grilled meats, vegetables, eggs, and legumes, Ideal in soups, curries, stews, and spice blends, Great for pickling, sauces, and marinades.
